Rosemary Mason France, 83, passed March 25 ^th , 2014.

A native of Fieldale Va., she was a longtime resident of Hampton, Va., where she raised her beloved family. She retired to Aulander, N.C. with her husband of 60 years after retiring from her career as an administrator with the Dept. of Public Works in Hampton. She finally returned to Hampton Roads due to failing health.

Rosemary was a member of Fox Hill Rd. Baptist Church in Hampton, serving as a member and soloist of the choir. She also was an active member of Aulander Baptist Church while a resident of N.C.

Gifted with a beautiful alto voice she inspired her children to love music and taught them to sing harmony. She was a major influence and true inspiration to her musical family. Mama, we "love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck".

Preceded in death by her husband June, brother Gene and great-granddaughter Haley. Survivors include sister Polly McCollum; children Doug (Sharon), Joe (Debbie), Kent and Sharon (Journey); grandchildren Tamara, Jon (Sarah), Billy (Stacey), Jeni (Turp), Bob (Brooke), Chris (Tiffany), Amy (Shane), Katie, and Jack; great grandchildren Josh, Izzy, Sebby, Christian, Grayson, Rylan, Delaney, Abbey, Layton, Maddie, Grant, Payton, Chloe and Sophia.

Family visitation will be March 29 ^th at 4 p.m., in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel followed by a memorial service beginning at 5PM.
