Ronald Lee Hunsecker, 58, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2016.  Born on January 16, 1958, Ron was a Hampton native and the son of Reggie & Janet Hunsecker, who devoted their lives to him.  He is survived by his sister, Carol Hunsecker (his biggest fan) & her children Marina & Dylan Clough, and by his brother, James Hunsecker & his son, Nicholas Hunsecker.  He is also survived by his aunt, Betty Murray, and cousins Lynn Durbin, John Murray, Jimmy Murray, Lori Westmoreland, Susan Wilder, Gene Hunsecker, Gail Richardson and their families.

Big Ron was quite a special person, he had no sad days.  He thoroughly enjoyed his life on the water at Windmill Point and was blessed with friends and neighbors who shared his joy in life and cared for him.  For many years, he treasured his jobs and friendships at Po' Folks Restaurant, Morrison's Cafeteria, the Woodlands Golf Course and the VA Hospital.  The Washington Redskins may not know it, but they lost one of their biggest fans.

Many people supported Ron in his life, his family thanks them all.  Special thanks to Rechanda Mays and Dr. Baltej Gill of the Hampton Newport News Community Services Board are very well deserved.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton, Virginia.

Anyone who knew Ron understands how precious special needs people are.  In lieu of charitable contributions the greatest gift to honor Ron's memory would be to show compassion and kindness to this community of people.
