IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Thomas
Duhe
May 11, 1942 – May 4, 2024
Ronald Thomas Duhe was called home by the Lord, and he received his new heavenly body on May 5, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Gray Duhe and Norman Duhe; his brothers, Norman Jr., Micheal, and Gilbert; his son, Randy Duhe and his granddaughter, Amanda Duhe.
His survivors include his wife Sammie; his twin sister, Ione Duhe; his daughter, Sherry Duhe; his son, Orson Duhe; his step daughter, Alicia Miller; his grandchildren, Randy Jr. and Brook Duhe; his great-granddaughter, Delilah Duhe; and his step-grandchildren Jose and Roberto.
He was born in Lutcher, LA on May 11,1942. He graduated high school in 1960 and soon after he enlisted in the Navy, where he fought in Vietnam. During his tour there he was wounded, leaving him disabled. Later in life these injuries resulted in him being identified as being totally disabled.
After his military duties he worked for ADT for 30 years. During this time, he attended seminary for 2 years. After retiring from ADT, he started working with numerous ministries.
Ron was a live in counselor for Teen Challenge for many years and continued to support this ministry until his death. He was a Royal Ranger Commander for over 20 years. He worked with the Pro-Life ministry for over 23 years. He was a missionary. He visited several countries as well as this country but focused on Mexico where he sponsored 4 orphanages for 5 years. He was an active member of O.S.A. (Operation Save America). He worked with the homeless and street ministries. He worked as a counselor for the Billy Graham Crusades. He also supported Christians for Jews in the Ukraine and the Hagge Ministry in Israel.
Due to a fall that left him paralyzed, he spent the last 22 months of his life in and out of the hospital. The last month was spent in the hospice.
First in his life was God. Second was his family. He loved his wife, children, family, his church family especially Pastor Eric and his friends. He was always thinking of them and praying for them.
I'm sure the Lord said.
"Welcome home good and faithful servant".
