Robert Weimer, beloved husband, father and son passed away on September 10, 2015. Robert was born on January 18, 1965. He was the son of the late David E. Weimer and Roslyn (Rosenblatt) Dolan of Pensacola, Florida. Robert was a long time resident of Hampton and graduated from Bethel High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1984 and proudly served his country for 26 years; retiring as a Senior Chief. He traveled all over the world and was particularly proud to be aboard the USS Kauffman when it made its historic port of call in Sevastopol, U.S.S.R. He participated in the 60th D-Day Remembrance Celebration in Normandy aboard the USS Ross. He also served with the 777th Expeditionary Squadron in Iraq. Robert was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Newport News and served his church family in countless ways. He served as Eucharistic Minister, Mass Coordinator, and a member of the Breathe ministry and could be counted on to fill in wherever he was needed. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend who will be deeply missed. Robert is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carla Weimer and their children, Chad and Allison all of Hampton; his sister, Ruthann Kramer, her husband Kurt of Florida and their children Brandon, Shane, and Gavin; and his sister, Nicole Fryer, her husband Charles and their children, Sienna and Arianna of California. The family will receive friend from 4:30-6:00 PM Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Immediately following at 6:00 pm, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev.
