Robert Tesla Wampler, passed away on May, 3 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Hampton and a graduate of Hampton High. Robert had worked as a plumber for Warwick Plumbing and Heating. He loved the Redskins as well as fishing, and had a passion for music, enjoying the oldies and country. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Wampler, son, Richard B. Wampler, father, Richard Wampler, and sister, Macon L. Summers. Survivors include his mother; Macon L. Wampler, nieces Kelli Rene Morton and Tracie Ann Kirkpatrick, companion, Julie Sagstetter and her children Kelly Jean Eastham (Michael) and James Sagstetter (Sabrina), as well as a number of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6-7:30 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2 PM, with the family receiving friends from 1-2 PM. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Park will follow the service.
