Robert Lee Taylor, 75, died Thursday, January 14, 2016. Born in Norfolk, his family relocated to Farmville, VA where he graduated from Longwood College and then began his career as a Civilian Personnel Officer. He retired after 31 years of service.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Taylor and Helen H. Taylor and a sister, Jean T. McCraw.
Survivors include his wife or 52 years, Jackie Forrest Taylor ; three children, Donna Lawson of Farnham, VA, Robin Logan of Charlotte, NC and Brian Taylor of Poquoson; six grandchildren, Justin Wenzel, April and Alexander Logan, Taylor and Coley Lawson, and Nathaniel Taylor; one great-grandchild, Serenity Wenzel; and a sister, Bettie Brightwell of Farmville.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist in downtown Hampton on Tuesday January 19, 2016 at 11AM. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to First United Methodist Church in Robert's memory.
