Robert E. Smith, 71, died February 12, 2016. A native of Maryland he had been a Hampton resident for most of his life. Robert was one of the first employees at Rosenbaum Fence Company where he worked for over 45 years. He was a diehard Redskins fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cathy Smith. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Smith; son, Scott A. Smith of Northern Virginia; granddaughter, Jessica Wilson (Lee Brady) and her children Autumn and Blake, as well as his sister, Dolores Savanich.
A Memorial Service will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home on Thursday February 18, 2016 at 6:30PM.
