Robert Wayne Lambert, 62, died Saturday, March 11, 2017. A native of Prince Edward County, he was a Navy veteran and had been a Hampton resident for the last 35 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan as well as a fan of the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed fishing and listening to music, especially bluegrass music, but most of all he loved being with his grandbabies.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Lambert, his sister, Carolyn Mescall, and his grandson, Travis Allen "TJ" Mahony, Jr.; survivors include his wife, Cindy Lambert; his mother, Shirley Lambert; two daughters, Jessica Lambert Chaney (Mark) and Amanda Lambert Mahony (Travis); the mother of his children, Lynne Greco; his grandchildren, Bailey and Keara Mahony and Emily Chaney; his sisters, Peggy Nobles (Andrew) and Jo Wolfe; a special sister-in-law, Ann Kiser; and a brother-in-law, Steve Hutchens (Kathy).

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
