Robert E. "Robbie" DeBartolo, 54, owner of After Hours Imports and All Brite Cleaning Services, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  Born in Ozone Park, NY, he has been a resident of Newport News since 1990.  Robbie was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5480 where he was a 4th Degree Knight, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church, and the Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 358.

Robbie is survived by his wife, Jeanette M. DeBartolo; children Abigail, Max, Frankie and Dominic; parents, Frank and Rosemary DeBartolo; and sister, Michele DeBartolo.

It would be impossible to list the survivors that will feel the hole this giant spirit is leaving in our family, in his businesses, and in our community. Robbie was such an energetic, involved, and passionate person that even his earthly body could not contain him. Of all the big things he was involved in, apparently God needed him for something even bigger. Well Heavenly Father, you picked the right man for the job.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 PM Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 100 Harpersville Rd. in Newport News.  Immediately following at 7:00 PM, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. John David Ramsey.  Following the service, the family will have a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 12742 Nettles Dr in Newport News.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Knights of Columbus 5480 Scholarship Fund, 12742 Nettles Dr., 23606.
