Richard Andrew Joyner, 45, died Friday, February 7, 2014. A lifelong resident of Hampton, Ricky had worked as a heavy wrecker operator most recently for Tidewater Express and G.B. Towing. He had also served as Deputy Chief of the Northampton Volunteer Fire Department.

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Mackenzie Joyner; his father, Ralph Joyner; six sisters; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A funeral service with fire department honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton by Pastor Richard Barnes with interment to follow in Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday prior to the service from 12-2 PM.
