Richard Earl Hudson, 69, died Friday, August 22, 2014. He was a native and lifelong Hampton Roads resident. He retired from the Hampton Fire Department and worked for numerous government contractors at NASA. A member of Langley Baptist Church, he served as an usher and was a member of the Mature Adult Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Vi Hudson; his daughter, Karen McCullough (Leon); his son, Richard Hudson; two grandchildren, Christopher and Chase McCullough; and a brother, Oscar Hudson (Bea) all of Hampton; two sisters, Nola Coates (Fred) of Williamsburg and Norma Proto (Ralph) of New Haven, CT; six nieces and eight nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Langley Baptist Church by Pastor David Page. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
