Randolph E. "Ranny" Leake, Jr., 70, died Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Born in Hampton, he was a lifelong Peninsula resident, with the exception of the time during which he served in the US Air Force. He loved his CB radio, playing pool, listening to music from the 50's and 60's, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Randolph "Ranny" Leake, Sr. and Frances B. "Bunny" Leake; survivors include his wife, Janet S. Leake, with whom he celebrated his 50 ^th wedding anniversary the day before his death; his son, Randolph Earl "Chip" Leake, III; his daughter, Linda Hardy; his sisters, Carolyn Jobst (Michael) and Kathryn Poole (Barron); two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-6pm Monday, March 22, 2021 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. State Veteran's Cemetery in Suffolk at a later date.
