Randall Duane McMurray, 45, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 31, 2021.  Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he grew up and attended school in California.  Randy loved boating, fishing, swimming and just being outdoors.  He served on the boards of Hampton Bay Days, the Hampton Cup Regatta and volunteered and worked in various positions for Healthy Family Partnership. Randy was most recently employed as a truck driver for Western Express Trucking.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Ora N. and Alice J. Eaglen; Randy is survived by his mother, Debra Butler and stepfather, David Butler; his sister, Jessica Oakes;  many cousins, devoted friends and coworkers; and his beloved dog, Jazmine.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM on Friday, January 7, 2022, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton.
