IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ramon Lee
Sager
January 4, 1952 – May 20, 2018
Ramon Sager, born Jan 4, 1952, was called home by the Lord on May 20, 2018. He was a kind and generous man who loved the Lord, and was much loved by family and friends. Ray served in the US Army after high school for two years. He later achieved a B.S. Degree of Engineering at VA Tech, working as a Material Inspection Specialist at IBM in New York for 10 years. While there he became a US ranked Foozball player and started a Foozball business. For the past 25 years he has lived on the Peninsula and was a member of Bethel Temple. Ray struggled with many years of health problems, compounded by a determination to live life his way. In spite of that he was always offering help to those in need, often giving food and shelter to homeless strangers when he had so little. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha J Sager, and his father, Robert L Sager. He is survived by his sisters, Sherry Behun (Vaughn), Theresa Molskness (Ron), nieces Lisa Behun, Michelle Hickman (Phillip), nephew Jonathan Behun, great nephew and niece Logan and Elana Hickman, stepmom Rebecca Sager, stepsister Sandy Johns (Rocky) and their children. A memorial service, led by Pastor Telvin Howe, will take place at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 South Armistead Ave, Hampton, on Saturday, June 9 at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel Temple's Community Outreach Ministry or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Food Pantry.
