Phyllis Snow Parker, 86, passed away Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 and went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. She was born August 12th, 1929 and was a lifelong resident of Phoebus, Virginia. She worked for many years as a nanny, caring for the children that she loved. She was also active at LaCrosse Memorial Presbyterian Church in Hampton, where she ministered in the nursery department. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Edna Snow, her husband Leonard Parker, and her son Buddy Parker. She is well loved and will be missed by her sister Jackie, her sons Dennis, David, and Lynn Parker, four daughters-in-law, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3-4PM Sunday, December 13th at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home at 245 S. Armistead Ave. in Hampton. A funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Robert White and Rev. David Parker at LaCrosse Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1518 N. Mallory St. Hampton on Monday, December 14th at 11am. A graveside service will follow at Oakland Cemetery, 1009 E. Pembroke Ave. Hampton. Memorials in her honor may be made to LaCrosse Memorial Presbyterian Church.
