Phillip David Woodland, 52, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. A lifelong resident of Hampton, he was the Owner of Woodland Construction Co. He was a 20 year member of the Coleman Hunt Club in Gloucester. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Thornton "Pete" Woodland, Jr and his sister, Patricia Lynn Riddick. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, LeMay K. Woodland; sons, Phillip David Woodland, Jr and William Vincent Woodland both of Hampton; mother, Jean Cooper Hall and her husband George B.; sister, Susan Quinn and her husband Gary of Newport News; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 PM Friday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton. Immediately following at 6:00, Phillip's life will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel by Pastor Stuart Hodges. Interment will be Private.
