Philip Eric Brewer, 27, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Hampton, he had been employed as a machine shop supervisor for Huntington Ingalls for the last 4 years. He loved motor cross and cars, being on the water, and anything having to do with boats. He enjoyed taking random adventures. He had a special love for family and was always a phone call away to help anyone who asked. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Joyce Brewer; survivors include his wife, Maria Brewer; his mother, Teresa Bailey; his father, Curtis Brewer; his brother, Matthew Brewer; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Ruby Bailey; and his nephew, Noah and niece, Bella. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 Saturday at the funeral home.
