Peter Routten Krantz, Sr., 89, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2021.  Born in Honesdale, PA on July 6, 1932 to Everett W. Krantz, Sr. and Doris Routten Krantz, Pete spent most of his life in his beloved Fox Hill, growing up with his large family and numerous friends.  After graduating from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, NY, Pete enlisted in the U. S. Army for two years.  In 1958, he found the calling of his life and joined the Hampton Fire Department.  Pete gained another family with his firefighter brothers and sisters and their families.  After attaining the rank of Battalion Chief, Pete retired in 1991.

Pete is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean; his son, Peter, Jr. and wife Holly; daughter, Kathy K. Parker; grandchildren, Reese and Evan Krantz; nephew, Hendrick W. Krantz and wife Ali and their daughter, Joeli; and his grand-dog, Conway.  He also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends, brothers and sisters from the Fire Department and many brothers and sisters in Christ from Fox Hill Central, Bethel Temple Assembly of God and Higher Ground.

Pete loved the Lord and had a heart for the lost.  His favorite question to ask anyone he met was, "Do you know Jesus?"

The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 noon on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Bethel Temple Assembly of God with a service at 12 noon at the church.   Interment will follow with Fire Department rites in Clark Cemetery, Hampton.
