Peggy Daugherty Smith, 63, died Thursday, July 16, 2015. A native of North Carolina, she had been a Hampton resident for most of her life where she was a manager for 7-11. Survivors include her husband, Sam Smith; her daughter, Wendy Cumbie; her son, Jason Smith and his wife, Beth; four granddaughters; four sisters; and one brother. The family will receive friends from 7-8pm Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the Peninsula SPCA, 523 J.
