Paula Jean Bishop Frantz, 53, Thursday, January 5, 2017. Born in Newport News, she had lived in Hampton most of her life. She enjoyed making jewelry, listening to music and dancing, but most of all she loved being a grandmother. All of the neighborhood kids called her mom.

Preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Jean Shattuck, her son, Charles Bulifant, Jr., and her brother, Raymond Shattuck; survivors include her husband, Bob Frantz; three daughters, Cassie Belflower, Hannah Bishop, and Rena Liufau; her father, Paul L. Shattuck; three brothers, Walter Shattuck, Andrew Shattuck, and Paul Shattuck, Jr.; and eleven grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, January 9, 2017 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
