Paul Leonard Suchy, 67, died at Riverside Regional Medical Center with his wife of 43 years at his side. He was raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania with his sisters Barbara and Kathy and his brother Joe. He graduated High School and went on to computer school. He worked at J&L Steel Company briefly before being drafted into the Army in 1967, where he was deployed to Vietnam in 1968. Upon his return he met Beatrice and they married in 1971. Paul worked for 30 years as a police car mechanic for the City of Hampton. After retiring he became a "scrapper", picking up scrap metal, repairing some of those metal things thrown away, and giving the fixed things away. He also enjoyed being "Uncle Paul" to the neighbor's kids, fixing their bikes and spending time with them. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2 pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Mercury Blvd. In Hampton.
