Paul A. Richard, 79, died Saturday, February 6, 2021. Born in Dover, NH, he had been a Peninsula resident since 1959. He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the US Enterprise and upon discharge from the Navy used his training as a nurse at Mary Immaculate Hospital from where he retired.

Paul loved restoring cars and working on boats and had built many of the motors which had raced in the Hampton Cup Regatta through the years. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Louis and Yvonne Roburge Richard and his first wife, Phyllis Rakes Richard; survivors include his wife, Patricia Richard; four children, Steven Crutchfield, Michael Crutchfield, Annette Abesa, and James Crutchfield; two sisters, Jeannie Richard and Lorraine Hoffman; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

It was Paul's wish to be cremated and for his ashes to be scattered at sea by the Navy. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Sharon Baptist Church, Hampton.
