Paul William Lubno of Hampton, Virginia passed away peacefully and in the presence of family on April 13th, 2024. Paul "Grandpa" Lubno was born on March 10th, 1937 in Richmond, Virginia. He enjoyed his time on the water fishing and crabbing. Paul loved talking on the phone and spending time with his family. He was always going places but never in a hurry. He spent a lot of his time tinkering, taking things apart, and putting them back together. He was a lot like McGyver in that way. He had a solution for almost anything. He was a "Grandpa" to everyone who knew him. Paul loved to visit with family and friends and never turned down a good conversation or a nice couch to nap on. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with his Langley Speedway racing family. He had a passion for watching his son race and for over 30 years he proudly served along side him as part of his pit crew.

Paul "Grandpa " Lubno was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Amelia Lubno; his siblings, Chester Lubno, Mike Lubno, and  his beloved wife Margrette "Lorraine" Lubno.

Paul is survived by his brother,  Eddie Lubno (Carol), and his sister Mary-Ann Minor; his son, Paul Lubno (Melissa); daughter, Paula Lubno (Glenn); grandchildren, Paul Lubno (Ashley) and Michael Green (Laurissa); his great-grandchildren, Brodie, Emma, Blakely and Chase.

All family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating the Life of "Grandpa".  A visitation will be held at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23669 on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 1-2 PM.  A funeral service will begin at 2PM with interment in Parklawn Memorial Park following immediately after at 2551 N. Armistead Ave. Hampton, 23666.
