Patsy Knick Burns passed peacefully on February 23, 2019 at the age of 82. Born April 16, 1936 to Alvis Wendell Knick and Lottie Bush Knick, she and her family grew up in Covington, Virginia.

She was married to Zane Preston Burns in 1958, and they had three children; Zane Andrew Burns, Daniel Preston Burns, and Anne Marie Burns.

In addition to being a wonderful mother, homemaker and friend to many, Patsy in her early years worked for the phone company in Richmond. She also worked 19 years as a childcare attendant at Langley Childcare Center until her retirement.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister Doris Gilbert.

She is survived by her children, her sister, Peggy (Rocky) Johnson, her brother Jack (Scottie) Knick, many wonderful nieces and nephews and family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Buckroe Baptist Church, Hampton. A lunch provided by the church will follow the service.
