Patrick A. “Andy” O’Keefe, Jr., 56, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Born in Seoul, Korea, the family moved to the Peninsula when he was 6 months old. He graduated from Kecoughtan High School and joined the US Navy, serving 4 years during Desert Storm. He was awarded the Battle “E” Ribbon, the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars.

Preceded in death by his father, Patrick A. O’Keefe, Sr.; survivors include his sons, Donovan O’Keefe and Trevor O’Keefe; his mother, Chun O’Keefe; his sister, Linda E. Williams; a nephew, Kenneth Baker (Quitina); and cousins, Shawn O’Keefe and Robert O’Keefe, Jr.

A memorial service with Navy honors will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2026 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
