Patricia E. West, 74, died Sunday, July 26, 2015. A lifelong Peninsula resident, she worked for many years at the Pine Needle Beauty Salon. She enjoyed working in her yard, taking care of her home, cooking and washing dishes, but most of all enjoyed being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leander Wells and Evelyn Waldron; her step-mother, Ethel L. Wells; her son, William Donald Waller, Jr.; her step-son, Michael West; a brother, George Wells; and a sister, Grace DiAmco. Survivors include her husband, David L. West; her daughter, Elizabeth June Waller of Newport News; her step-son, David Brian West of Hampton; three grandchildren, Johnathan Michael Waller and Margaret and Anthony Mitchell; her brother, Eugene K. Wells of Poquoson; two brothers-in-law, William West Sr. and his wife, Ethna and Thomas West, Jr. all of Hampton; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Brooks of Williamsburg and Charlotte Flickner of Florida. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
