Patricia Ann Swain Allen, 59, rose from the arms of family into eternal life to rest in the arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 22, 2020.  She was born in Beaufort County, North Carolina on June 2, 1961 and has been a resident of Hampton, Virginia since 1963. She graduated from Pembroke High School and began her career as an orthodontic lab technician becoming known for her perfectionism.  She married the love of her life on July 9, 1983.

Patricia had a great love for all animals, especially cats. She rescued, cared for, and nurtured many cats.  They were her children and she loved them all.

She is survived by her marriage partner and soul mate, Dan Allen; mother, Dorcas Dixon Swain; and brothers, L. Frank Swain Jr., Marty Swain, Mike Swain, Greg Swain, Ben Swain, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Levia F. Swain Sr.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date due to the COVID virus and wanting to keep everyone safe.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Peninsula SPCA to continue her desire to help animals.
