Patrice Herard White transitioned from this life on March 4th, 2024 at the age of 66 years young. Patrice, known by friends as family as 'Fifie' was born on December 15th 1957 to Roger Louis Herard and Anne Marguerite Herard. Patrice was one of five siblings and is the first to depart this life. She is preceded in death by her parents Roger Louis Herard and Anne Marguerite Herard, her son Joel Marcus Herard-Sutton and grandson Ahkeel Omar Ibrahim.

Patrice is survived by her husband Joseph White Jr, daughter Monique Nathania Ibrahim, step daughter Rashiel Latoya White, step son Devin Maurice Tucker, and grandchildren: Imani O. Ibrahim, Tairaceo White, Essence Unique Davis, Deyani Davis, Jayden Tucker, Ayriam Tucker, Zahir White, and Harmony Tucker. She is also survived by siblings Marc Herard (Mervelie Herard), Pierre Aurel Herard (Elena Herard), Emmanuel Lassiter (Elizabeth Lassiter), Blendy Lassiter Holder (Derrick Holder),

Aunt Ruth Mucius, Uncle Mathieu (Ghislene) Mucius along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Patrice was born in Brooklyn but spent her early years in Port-au-Prince, Haiti with her older brother Pierre and grandparents Pierre and Olympe Mucius. As a child, Patrice was introduced to the Lord. From a very early age she loved God and learned to serve Him. In Haiti, Patrice attended Jardins d'enfants de Bizoton and then Ecole primaire Seminaire Adventiste de Diquini where she began piano lessons. The siblings later moved back to New York to complete their education. As a teenager Patrice loved reading, dancing, running and even practiced Taekwondo for a bit. Patrice graduated from Brooklyn High School and then briefly attended Queens college before deciding to join the United States Air Force in 1979. In the Air Force, Patrice found her niche as a laboratory technician and on the women's basketball team. Patrice went on tours to Guam and Japan before meeting her first husband, Garreth Sutton and marrying him in January of 1983. In September of 1983, Patrice and Garreth welcomed their first child, Monique. Patrice left the Air Force in 1984 to be a full time parent and the couple later welcomed their son, Marcus into the world. In 1989, Patrice moved to Olando, FL where she began a career in HR and payroll. In 1994, Patrice moved with her children to Stone Mountain, GA in search of more opportunity. Shortly after arriving in Georgia, Patrice joined Maranatha SDA Church where she was an active mom of Pathfinders, Adventurers and the choir. Patrice also honed her office management skills while working various jobs and even for herself briefly. In 1997 Patrice landed a position at Clark Atlanta University where she remained until her retirement in 2008. A few years later, Patrice moved to Newport News, VA to be closer to her father. Shortly after arriving in Virginia, Patrice met the love of her life, Joseph White Jr. The couple married in 2013 and joined veteran choir, New Horizon. In 2015, Patrice was diagnosed with breast cancer which she battled courageously for 8 years. Patrice and Joe enjoyed their quiet lives together until God called her home in 2024. Patrice was a fierce, loving, Godly woman who will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Friday, March 15, 2024. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment with Air Force honors will take place at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 18 at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. State Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
