Oscar Christopher Altman, 74, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022.  Born in Manhattan, New York to Walter Altman and Margaret Kalekwick Altman, he was one of six siblings.  An army and coast guard veteran, Oscar moved to Hampton in 1989, and worked for many years at Pentran which later became Hampton Roads Transit.  He retired as a self-employed general contractor.

Oscar enjoyed the Hudson Yacht Club in New York, loved being on the water and boating, enjoyed the neighborhood pool, trains sets and model trains, but most of all he cherished spending time with his beloved daughters and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Theresa Altman, his sisters Barbara Griffin and Theresa (Terry) Salmon; Oscar is survived by his daughters, Melissa Altman (Roberto) and Crystal Neff (Tyler); sisters, Sharon Miller and Gail McGuire; brother, Walter Altman, Jr.; and grandchildren, Christopher Neff, Aria Neff, grand-cats, Little Baby and Alfalfa, and grand-dogs, Tyson and Duke.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
