HAMPTON - Ok Hui Curry, 75, passed away on February 10, 2016. The daughter of Jang Mung Hwan and Lee Soon Yea, she was raised in Seoul, South Korea. Ok Hui was a renowned seamstress and was well known for the beautiful bridal gowns and wedding dresses that she created over the years. She started her work from her home and had worked for Beautiful Brides of Hampton before she retired. Ok Hui was a faithful servant of her Lord and was very active in the American and Korean church communities. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her. Ok Hui was preceded in death by her parents as well as her loving husband of 29 years Dwaine H. Curry. She is survived by her; daughters, Ok Kyong Bigelow and her husband Kevin, Linda Mauzy and her husband Erik and their children Tyler and Nicholas; son, Dwaine T. Curry and his wife Libby, and their children Michael and Michelle; as well as her brothers and sisters Jang Young Hui, Jang Pok Hui, Jang Hong Ki, Jang Mung Ki, and Jang Sung Ki. The family will receive friends at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampton on Saturday February 13, 2016 from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday February 14, 2016 at 1:30PM. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
