Norman Herman Lohrey, 78, died Thursday, June 26, 2014. A native of Scranton, PA, he had been a Hampton resident for the last 3 years. At a young age, he went to work in his family's business, the Arrow Paint Store in Scranton; he then went on to work for the US Postal Service, retiring in 1992 after 18 years of service. He also worked for the Pennsylvania State Constable's Office. In Scranton, he was a member of Hickory Street Presbyterian Church and had been attending First Presbyterian Church in Hampton. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of Shiller Lodge #345 AF & AM in Scranton, and a member and Past Master of Hiram Lodge # 81, AF & AM in Philadelphia, as well as Secretary of the Lackawanna County Constable's Association. Preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Wood Lohrey; he is survived by his wife, Linda Rosengrant-Lohrey. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on August 1, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the American Heart Association.
