Norma Chandler Harkness, 80, died Friday, October 20, 2017. Born in Athens, GA, she had been a Hampton resident since 1977. She had a generous heart, adored her grandchildren and devoted her life to her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Harkness her parents, Clovis and Margaret Chandler, and her brother, Artie Chandler; survivors include her daughter, Margaret Nettles; her son, Stuart Harkness and his wife, Peggy; her grandchildren, Dayne and Skylar Nettles; her brother, Ronald Chandler and his wife, Patricia; two nieces, Rhonda and Christie; and a nephew, Brian.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 PM, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Following the service, friends are welcome from 5 – 7 PM at her daughter's home.
