Nicholas Ory Cartledge, 36, passed away on May 5, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born on May 14, 1986, to parents Robert and Tina Cartledge, he had been a Hampton resident for most of his life. Nick attended Bethel High School and was a member of the JROTC program. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars; and worked as a painter on both residential and commercial jobs.

Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Edward Jenkins Keithley and Robert Maxton Cartledge, Sr.; he is survived by his parents, Robert and Tina Cartledge; sister and brother-in-law, Kristy and Andy West; his grandmother Nancy Keithley; his daughter, Alexis Cartledge and three sons, Jaxsen, Cameron and Jayden Cartledge; his niece and nephews; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton.

The family requests memorial donations be made to S.A.M.E., "So All May Eat", c/o Hampton Baptist Church, 40 Kings Way, Hampton, VA 23669 in memory of Nick.
