Nellie Frances Carnes went to be with our Lord on November 12, 2014 at Sentara Rehabilitation Center. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Sentara for their care and kindness. Survivors include her only daughter, Judy Hunt and her husband, Charles; two sisters, Shelby Kernel and Marilyn Blackburn; two brothers, Dicky Williams and his wife, Louise and Thurman Williams, Jr.; a grandson, Ricky Hunt and his wife, Krystal; a great-grandson, Kyle Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members left here to remember her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carnes; her parents, and her sister, Pauline. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM Friday, November 14, 2014 in the chapel mausoleum at Parklawn Memorial Park followed by a funeral service beginning at 2PM conducted by Pastor Mark Boyd.
