Nancy passed away peacefully, December 14, 2013 at the age of 79 in Hospice Care. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, William Mayes, a son, Randall Mayes, and two daughters, Lisa Edmonds and husband Michael, and Amy Mayes. She is also survived by three grand children, two great grand children, a brother, William Elam and his family, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be private per Nancy's request.

The family expresses gratitude for the loving care and comfort provided by The Legacy Home of Hospice and Support at Ft. Monroe, VA and to Gentiva Hospice Nursing Care.
