Nancy Morris Knowles, 77, died Thursday, March 13, 2014. Born in Monks Corner, SC, she had been a Peninsula resident since 1940. She was a 1954 graduate of Newport News High School and member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Robin K. Howerin and Julie K. Tyler; son, David Knowles; sisters, Darlene Helman, Carol Gaff and Gini Post; and grandchildren, Gerald, David, Kevin, Haley, Jonathan, Ellie and Lauren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 17, 2014 at Ivy Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. John S. Etcher, with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 PM at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 South Armistead Ave, Hampton.
