Nancy E. Jones, 64, died Friday, May 1, 2015. A native of Georgia, she was a longtime Hampton resident. She had worked many places through the years, including Olan Mills as a consultant, Maida Development Company, the Newport News Shipyard, and Home Depot. She enjoyed gardening, country music, and making crafts on plastic canvas. Survivors include her husband, Carroll C. Jones; a daughter, Georgia Floyd; a son, Stan Carroll; two grandchildren, Maggie and Patrick; two sisters, Sarah Chup and Mary Ann Woods; a brother, Walter Hammond; three step-daughters, Deb Wisecarver, Pam Lester, and Kim Whitworth; and numerous step-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 4, 2015 at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
