Obituary

Morgan L. Johnson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Newport
News, VA. She was born November 14, 1997, in Newport News. A 2016
graduate of Kecoughtan High School, she had recently graduated from New River
Community College.
Morgan is survived by her wife, Haley R. Johnson, her mother, Rose Paul (Bryan), and her
father, Scott Johnson (Linda); grandmother, Janice Johnson; Sisters, Chelsie Schrum (Chris), twin sister Madison
Johnson (Blake), brother Tyler Johnson, stepsister Bryanna Paul, nieces Summer and
Saylor, nephew, Waylon, mother-in-law, Jennifer Crabtree, and brother-in-law, Joshua
Crabtree.
Morgan was recently married to the love of her life, Haley, on December 16, 2023 and
the two had recently celebrated nine years together in April. They most recently lived in
Blacksburg but were moving back home to be closer to family. They were looking
forward to buying their first home in a few weeks and were planning to start a family this
winter.
A personal trainer for seven years, Morgan trained clients in Hampton Roads and
Blacksburg, VA. She recently received certificates from New River Community College
in graphic design, welding, and automotive. She had plans to start her career in the
automotive field and welding.
Morgan provided continuous support, encouragement, and laughs to all who knew her.
She was incredibly dedicated, courageous, generous, and kind. Morgan had an intense
passion for life and was always willing to try new things. She was always willing to help
others and constantly remained humble in her accomplishments. Morgan will be
incredibly missed by so many people whose lives she has forever changed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am, Friday May 31st at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10am -11am at the funeral home.  The service will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page, after you click on the link, scroll to the first post for live starting at 11 AM.
