Moira Ottofaro, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at home.  Born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 24, 1932,  she had been a resident of Newport News, VA for most of her life. Moira enjoyed hosting family gatherings, sewing, knitting, singing and dancing.  After raising her family, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Familant in Phoebus for almost 30 years.

Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary McPhun; and daughter, Denise Thomas Ottofaro; she leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 68 years, Lawrence E. Ottofaro; son, Lawrence A. Ottofaro and his wife, Marilyn, son, Jack V. Ottofaro and his wife, Trish; grandchildren, Trevor Ottofaro (Kelli), Amanda Edwards (Wyatt), and Colin Ottofaro (Alexis); numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family in the UK.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 – 1:00 on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA. www.rhaydensmith.com.
