Mildred McDonald Blake, age 104, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Hampton, Virginia. Mildred was born in Lipscomb, Alabama in 1913. She was one of six children born to Joseph and Ola D McDonald. She was married to Robert L. Blake for 73 years until his passing in 2005. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Wanda Lee Harris, granddaughter, Edna Lee Harris and great grandson, Airman Joshua Harris.

She is survived by her son, John W. Blake (Mary S.) of Hampton, VA, her loving nieces Sandra Long, Barbara A. Batson and Robin C. Brown of Alabama. Also left to cherish her memory are 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. Mildred was a long-time resident of Bean Station, TN and a member of the United Methodist Church of Bean Station. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star having served as Worthy Matron in her tenure.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Hampton Senior Living facility for their kind and gracious support and care over the past 2 years. Special thanks to her caring neighbors on Gilmore Rd in Morristown and her aides, Wanda Seals and Cindy Burks for their compassionate care.
