Obituary
M ichelle McCrea Robertson, 56, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Dawn Debo McCrea and Edward J. McCrea; sister Jo Ann McCrea.
Michelle grew up on Old Mountain Road and was a lifelong resident of the Roanoke area saying she would never move away from the view of the mountains. She was a great cook and an incredible gardener, insisting that both food and plants just needed more love. Michelle had a free spirit and did everything her own way. Never meeting a stranger, she leaves a lasting memory for all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Brandi Robertson (James Kesler) and son, Zack Robertson (Kelly); very special grandchildren Aidan, Finley, Lilly and an expectant grandchild due in July. She is also survived by her brothers Tim McCrea (Sandy) and Jim McCrea (Sandy), as well as nieces and nephews TJ, Rebecca, Samantha, Austin, and Keith. Michelle leaves behind many extended family members including cousins that were lifelong friends. She adored her fur babies in the following order, Molly, Chloe, and Max.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023 from 3pm - 5pm at the Kazim Shriners Temple located at 628 Campbell Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
Though we need to weep your loss,
You dwell in that safe place in our hearts,
Where no storm or night or pain can reach you.
Let us not look for you only in memory,
Where we would grow lonely without you.
You would want us to find you in presence,
Beside us when beauty brightens,
When kindness glows
And music echoes eternal tones.
