Michelle Dawn Edwards, 52, died Friday, February 17, 2023, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born and raised in Newport News, she was the daughter of Clyde and Gracie Casey.  Michelle married Brian K. Edwards in 1991 and they moved to Hampton in 1996.  She loved travelling, anything Winnie the Pooh, swimming and being around the water, country music, cherry Pepsi, and purple was her favorite color.  Michelle was deeply devoted to her family, especially, her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bubba Casey; and granddaughter, Ava Marie Edwards; she leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Brian K. Edwards; daughters, Amber Edwards and Brittany Edwards; sons, Brian Edwards and Keith Edwards; beloved grandchildren, Brendan, Isabella, Brayden, Kaylee, Aidan, Chase, Kaiden, Kaitlyn and Hayden; and numerous aunts, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA.
