Obituary
Michael Delano Rose, 47, died Monday, January 4, 2016. A native and lifelong Hampton resident, he was a huge Redskins fan and animal lover. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Vance Rose, his grandmother, Mary Louiza Bye and his aunt, Flossie Jane Hite. Survivors include his son, Donald Vance Rose; his daughter, Kathlene Ruby Rose; his mother, Betty Cecelia Rose; three sisters, Darlene Fish, Cheryl Lane and Donna Haney; two brothers, David Rose and Ronald Rose and his wife, Sharon; his uncle and aunt, Joe and Alma Bye; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2015 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by Pastor Larry Enscore.
