Michael Wayne Kilgore, 35, died Monday, March 25, 2019. Born in Newport News, he lived on the Peninsula most of his life and worked as a Rod Buster for several different companies. He enjoyed all sports, especially football, baseball, and boxing, and shooting pool.

Preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Kilgore and two aunts, Nancy Kilgore and Barbara Kilgore; survivors include his two sons, Noah Michael Kilgore and Michael Wayne Kilgore, Jr.; his parents, Kathy Kilgore and Billy and Lynn Kilgore; two aunts, Sheri Kilgore Nelson and Lisa Kilgore Ortiz; seven siblings, Carmen Richard, Elizabeth Fortune, Alishia Fortune, Jose Fortune, Ryan Kilgore, Tyler Kilgore, and Kayden Kilgore; and five cousins, April Carson, Sierra Carson, Lucio Cole, Jerry Cole, and Rolando Cole.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
