Michael Floyd Cox, 20, died Saturday, January 2, 2016. A native of Hampton, he had lived the last several years in the Gloucester/Mathews area. Having a real passion for cars, he worked at Haskin's Auto Body and was a member of the Honda Crew.
Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Bonnie Evans and Sandra Kerr; survivors include his mother and step-father, Barbara Jean and Doyle Whited; his father, Mark Floyd Cox; his brother, Matthew Cox; his step-brothers, Steven Whited, Benjamin Whited, and Jeremiah Whited; his grandfather and step-grandmother, Fred and Julie Evans; his grandfather, Morris Cox; his aunts and uncles, Julie Kierulf and her husband, Tom, John Evans, David Evans, and Bubba Cox and his wife, Anne; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-1:30 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Sharon Baptist Church with a funeral service beginning at 1:30 PM conducted by Pastor David Seabolt. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
