Melody Carol Carver, 70, died Monday, October 10, 2022. A longtime Hampton resident, she was a den mother for the Boy Scouts for many years. She was a devoted grandmother and loved to babysit children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. Carver, Sr., her parents, Richard and Sondra Carr, and her brother Steven Carr. Survivors include her son, Kenny Carver and wife, Anna; four grandchildren, Mason, Libby, Emma, and Chase; her sister, Robin Cooper and husband, Larry; and two nephews, Jason Cooper and wife, Jezza and Steven Bevilacqua; her sister-in-law, Connie Carver, her husband Kyle and their daughter Cassie; her niece, Corinna Laxton and children, Jessica and TJ; and nephew, Charles Carver III, his wife Sara, and daughter Hailey.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2022 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.
