Mary Alice Seals Arnett, 86, passed away October 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Clifford Arnett on January 4, 2004. She is survived by her children, Nancy E. Snyder and her husband, David of Hampton and Michael D. Arnett and his wife, Lissette Bretos of West Palm Beach, FL. Born and raised in Morganton, NC, Mary Alice had been a Hampton resident and active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church since 1966. She was a 1951 graduate of Berea College in Kentucky. Mary Alice and Bill were married in the Danforth Chapel on the Berea campus. She retired in 1995 from Fort Eustis after 19 years of federal service. Mary Alice will be interred in the Phoebus Section of Hampton National Cemetery, with her husband. Gravesite services to be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mark Burgess officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions to Berea College, CPO 2216, Berea, KY 40404.
