Mary C. Rountree, 75, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021.  Born and raised in Hampton, she received her bachelor's degree at Madison College (now James Madison University) and then achieved her master's degree and doctorate in Nutrition at Ohio State University.  She worked at Riverside Regional Medical Center as a nutritionist in the Diabetes Training Center from 1988-2011.  Mary was an avid reader, studied genealogy and volunteered in the food pantry at First United Methodist Church Fox Hill.

Preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Henning A. Rountree, Jr.; Mary is survived by her sister, Helen C. Rountree and numerous out of state cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Scleroderma Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
