Mary Ruth passed peacefully from this life the morning of August 28, 2015 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Mary Ruth was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on March 13, 1922 to the late Willie and Lucy Joyner. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings. Mary Ruth is survived by two cousins Carrie Cordell, Mary Berry; two sister-in-laws Louise Joyner, Marian Joyner and a host of nieces and nephews and a loving devoted pioneer partner, Sarah Singleton. Sis. Mary symbolized her dedication by water immersion on April 28, 1962. Her love for the truth and ministry was evident as she was a regular pioneer since September 1, 1971. Sis Mary was instrumental in helping many to come to know about Jehovah. Sis Mary served Jehovah faithfully until her death. Mary Ruth will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. We can take comfort in knowing there will be a time when sickness and death will be no more. - Revelation 21:4 A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Kingdom of Jehovah's Witnesses, 804 - 41st Street, Newport News, Virginia.
