Mary Ellen Hart Aguilar,76 of Hampton, VA passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 15. Born in Roanoke Rapids, NC on Oct. 7, 1941 and raised in Emporia, VA she graduated from Greenville County High School and Chowan College. Mary Ellen was a long-time resident of Hampton and retired from the Hampton VA Medical Center after 20 years of service.

Her passions were RVing across the US with her beloved husband and her grandchildren.

Mary Ellen is survived by her husband of 30 years, AMCS Lawrence J. Aguilar USN, retired; daughters, Stephanie Faison Stewart(Sanford) of Springwood, VA, Jennifer Faison Belfry (Sean) of Saratoga Springs, NY, Cathy Peyton (Edward) of Pensacola, FL, and Michele Spivey of Hopkinsville, KY; and her beloved grandchildren, Jake, Will, Deanna, Dustin, Teddy, Henry, Steven and Braxton.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5-6:30 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Ave, Hampton. A private interment will be held in the Albert G. Horton State Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Northampton Rescue Squad, Hampton.
